EECAA Fall 2026: Weekly Meetings, Trips, and New Activities

EECAA is back for Fall 2026!

This semester, the Eastern European & Central Asian Students Association is meeting every Friday from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM in Skurla Hall 102.

Our weekly meetings are a place to catch up, discuss club plans, meet new people, and decide what we want to do next. Some meetings are focused on planning upcoming activities, while others are more informal and give members time to hang out, play games, or organize something together afterward.

So far this semester, we have been discussing plans for an October 2–4 trip, possible day trips and overnight options, sports activities, game nights, and other member ideas.

We also plan to continue organizing casual activities outside regular meetings, including volleyball, local outings, and other events based on member interest.

Everyone is welcome. You do not need to be from Eastern Europe or Central Asia to join — EECAA is open to all Florida Tech students who are interested in the community, culture, and activities.

Welcome News! Eastern European & Central Asian Students Association

Welcome to the Eastern European & Central Asian Students Association!

We are excited to welcome both new students and existing members! Our club is beginning an exciting journey, and our goal is to build a community where everyone feels included, regardless of cultural or linguistic background.

Who we are and why we exist

Our idea is simple: to create a space for connection, support, and cultural exchange. We want students from Eastern Europe, Central Asia, and all parts of the world to learn from one another, share experiences, and build meaningful friendships. Academic support, collaborative events, and respectful dialogue form the foundation of our community.

Our team

The organization is led by an executive board that works to develop the club and organize activities:

  • President: Artem Okhten

  • Vice President: Barbara Iuritsina

  • Secretary: Musa Tashpolotov

  • Treasurer: Oleksandr Zhukovskyi

We work as a team, but the club belongs to all members. Your ideas, participation, and feedback help shape its future.

Our values

  • Respect and inclusivity

  • Cultural exchange and mutual understanding

  • Academic support

  • Leadership development and friendship

  • Openness to all students at Florida Institute of Technology

Join us!

We welcome new members, regardless of background or experience. If you want to meet new people, participate in events, and be part of a growing community, we would be happy to have you.

This is just the beginning of our journey, and we want to build it together. Let’s create a club we can all be proud of!
